Course Details

This qualification focuses on fundamental practical skills and knowledge. This ensures that upon completion of this qualification, you will have gained the practical experience required to work within the plumbing sector.

The qualification covers the complex knowledge and understanding of a broad range of plumbing competencies and has been developed in consultation with industry to ensure that it meets the needs of the sector. This qualification does not require occupational evidence.

The qualification covers a wide range of subjects including: the installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques of domestic cold water systems, domestic hot water systems and domestic central heating systems.

  • Understand how to organise resources within BSE
  • Understand and apply domestic cold water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and apply domestic hot water system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and apply domestic central heating system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • Understand and apply domestic sanitation system installation, commissioning, service and maintenance techniques
  • Understand core gas safety principles for natural gas within domestic building services engineering
